Backend Engineer (Cloud-Native)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join a cross-functional, agile team, where you’ll take ownership of key APIs within the company's microservice architecture, including their deployment and operation in production.

You will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and migrating services to Kubernetes, ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of its systems. As part of the team, you’ll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle — from design to deployment and production operation — and contribute to building high-quality software while promoting a strong culture of engineering excellence.

• Develop software using object-oriented principles with ASP.NET Core and C#, ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Design and manage data using both relational databases and NoSQL technologies.
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot services in real-world cloud environments, ideally in Azure, with a focus on monitoring, reliability and performance optimization.
• Write reliable Unit and Integration tests to ensure system stability and code quality.
• Apply architectural patterns and SOLID principles to build robust, extensible systems.
• Take ownership of services across their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and production operation.
• Collaborate across the stack, remaining open to contributing in other technologies like React and React Native when needed.
• Improve delivery workflows with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Use Kubernetes to run and evolve scalable and resilient services in production environments.
• Contribute to large-scale enterprise projects through technical expertise and pragmatic, agile execution.
• Stay curious and proactive in learning new tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve the way we build and operate systems.
• Approach challenges with initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to co-create meaningful solutions.

• At least five years of hands-on experience as a .NET developer (2+ years with .NET Core), and at least 1 year deploying and operating services in real-world cloud environments.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks and engineering best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Nice to Have

• Strong experience deploying and operating services in cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience working with containerized applications and Kubernetes in development or production environments.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Experience working with datasets, test data generation, or basic model evaluation workflows.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cody, or ChatGPT in day-to-day coding.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve code quality, refactoring, test generation, or developer productivity.
