About the role
We are looking for an AI Product Owner to lead the development of AI capabilities focused on engineering productivity and AI-assisted coding.
This role is key to driving AI adoption at scale across the organisation, working on shared services, internal tools and frameworks that enable many product teams.
You will lead a cross-functional team and act as the link between AI teams, platform teams and business stakeholders, making sure AI becomes a natural and effective part of how products are built.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional AI team, encouraging a culture of experimentation, continuous learning and constant improvement
- Define and evolve the AI platform roadmap in line with business priorities
- Design and build shared AI capabilities, reusable components and internal tools
- Translate business and product needs into clear technical specifications
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions
- Work with design and product to uphold standards of usability, quality and responsible AI
- Prioritise the backlog based on business value, technical feasibility and model performance
- Help define and scale a company-wide AI operating model
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technology environment
- Experience with AI/ML products, platforms or data-driven solutions
- Experience working with engineering teams (ideally in platform or tooling environments)
- Good understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies
- Ability to turn complex technical concepts into product decisions with business impact
- Experience defining roadmaps and managing backlogs in cross-functional settings
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools for software development (LLMs, copilots, etc.)
- Background in platform products or internal tools
- Knowledge of AI ethics, governance or responsible AI
- Experience scaling AI capabilities within organisations
