QA Engineer

Our client is a Barcelona-based technology company that builds digital products for large international corporations. Its teams work at the intersection of technology and business, acting as strategic partners to the companies they serve rather than simply delivering software.

The company works with agile methodologies and continuous iteration. Multidisciplinary teams own the full end-to-end lifecycle of each digital product.

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join one of its cross-functional, agile teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital products that serve a B2C loyalty programme in the health and retail pharmacy sectors.

You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, automating tests, and ensuring the overall quality of the platforms. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product owners, being involved in the entire development lifecycle to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Define, create, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Ensure product quality through exploratory testing, regression testing, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Work in a cross-functional agile team, actively participating in planning, grooming, and review sessions.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability.
• Monitor builds and pipelines, identifying defects early in the development cycle.
• Drive improvements in test strategy, coverage, and automation.
• Contribute to the documentation of QA processes and best practices.
• Promote a quality-first mindset across the engineering teams.

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar testing role.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Browser DevTools, Charles Proxy, or similar.
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
• Basic understanding of APIs and ability to perform API testing.
• Experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of Agile development processes and DevOps practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating tests into pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with performance or security testing tools.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
• Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium or XCUITest.
• Experience working in large-scale digital product teams.
